Cleveland is more of a destination city than ever! If you’ve decided to make a weekend trip here with your significant other or you’re looking to relax with a ‘staycation,’ squeeze every last bit out of summer with these Northeast Ohio date ideas.

BrewBoat

Be a part of Ohio’s first and only human-powered cycle boat by cruising with BrewBoat on the waters of the Cuyahoga River through Downtown Cleveland. For about $450, you, your significant other and five other couples can cruise for an hour and a half taking in the sights of the city and having some fun along the way. Just remember, it’s BYOB!

Cleveland Flea

Each month, the Cleveland Flea welcomes 170+ vendors and 10,000 shoppers to lesser-known neighborhoods in NEO. The vendors that attend the Cleveland Flea sell anything from handmade jewelry, vintage clothing, perogies to die for and so much more. Check out the rest of this year’s events here.

Brewnuts

If you love craft beer and a tasty donut, you won’t be able to resist this popular Cleveland shop. Located on Detroit Avenue, Brewnuts offers you the chance to get the dynamic duo in one stop. Although the unique donuts are crafted with beer, they are fired at 173 degrees which makes them safe for anyone to consume.

41 North

Rent kayaks and standup paddleboards for the day and allow yourselves to drift down the Rocky River Reservation. 41 North offers rentals, group classes and tours.

Cleveland Brewery Passport

Explore the Cleveland craft beer scene by collecting stamps for your Cleveland Brewery Passport, a partnership between Destination Cleveland and 30 breweries that are all within 25 miles of downtown. Between now and June 30, 2019, you can redeem 8 stamps for a Cleveland bottle opener or 30 stamps for a Cleveland hat. Additionally, everyone who gets 30 stamps will be entered into a drawing for an overnight stay in Cleveland or tickets to a Cleveland sporting event.

Aut-O-Rama Twin Drive-in Theatre

Make the drive-in your new summer tradition at the Aut-o-Rama Twin Theatre in North Ridgeville. The family owned business has been putting films up on the big screen since 1965.

Go Ape

Reach new heights and explore the beauty of the Cleveland Metroparks at Go Ape in Strongsville. This 2-3-hour trek takes you through a series of obstacles, swings and ziplines that overlook the Mill Stream Run Reservation.

West Side Market

Since 1912, the West Side Market has been home to hundreds of great food vendors with over a million visitors every year. You can find fresh meats, fruits and vegetables, seafood, pastas, baked goods and so much more. The building is well-known for its beautiful architecture and provides a great opportunity to take a break from the summer sun.
